Matt Gaetz just made his move to hold Nancy Pelosi to account. Geatz joined Lee Zeldin to officially lodge an ethics complaint against Nancy Pelosi over her cheap State of the Union stunt.
Pelosi stunned the political world with a petty move made for the television cameras when she petulantly ripped up Trump’s speech as the nation watched in shock.
Look, she took issue with Trump’s showmanship – he gave Rush the Medal of Freedom, reunited a family, gave out a scholarship – it made the usually boring and obnoxious SOTU actually watchable and in that way, he showed the Dems what they are up against in 2020.
Not one Dem candidate can come close to Trump’s ability to use and manipulate a totally corrupt media to serve his interests rather than their own.
And it matters because Trump knows the only American institution more corrupt and lacking morals than the Congress is the media.
“Her conduct was beneath the dignity of the House, and a potential violation of law,” Gaetz said introducing the ethics complaint.
“She must be held accountable.”
Gaetz went to say her performance) for that is what it was) was “deeply offensive” and does not reflect the “credibility” of the House of Representatives.
“The speaker should not let her personal feelings about the president color her behavior as a leader in the United States Congress,” he said.
“Pelosi disgraced the House of Representatives, she embarrassed our country and she destroyed official records. The law does not allow the Speaker of the House to destroy the records of the House and the rules of the House do not permit some little temper tantrum just because you don’t like what the president of the United States says,” Matt told Laura Ingraham.
“The Democrats really brought the heat down on him,” Gaetz added before reminding America of the double standard.
“By the way, Joe Wilson was right. We ought to apply the same standards to the Democrats that they want to apply to us and there will be an ethics investigation to Nancy Pelosi and we will start the ball rolling to have her censured.”
